Presenter

Nathanial S. Nolan, MD, MPH, MPHE, FACP

Nathanial Nolan is a physician at the St. Louis VA and Washington University in St. Louis. He is also the founder of Street Med STL, a non-profit organization which delivers care to unhoused people in the St. Louis region. Nathanial was born and raised in Southwest MO. He completed his MD and MPH at the University of Missouri, where he also stayed to do his medical residency. He came to the Washington University in St. Louis for his Infectious Disease and Medical Education fellowship. His clinical interests include caring for marginalized communities, including those living with HIV, those with substance use disorders and those who are unhoused. His research has focused on improving health outcomes for those admitted to the hospital with substance use disorders and delivering care in less traditional settings, including in shelters and on the street. Since 2020 he has been active in delivering street level medicine to unsheltered people in the St. Louis region.

Target Audience

This program is intended for infectious diseases physicians, registered nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for patients with or prone to infectious diseases.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA) through the joint partnership of the St. Louis STD/HIV Prevention and Training Center and the ID Society of St. Louis.  The St. Louis STD/IV Prevention Training Center is accredited by the MSMA to provide continuing medal education for physicians.
